In receiving a 6.57-million-Swedish-kronar ($1.06-million) grant from the Swedish Energy Agency, Volvo has proven their dedication to the creation of more fuel-efficient vehicles. Specifically, the grant is meant to aid them in the research of a new generation of flywheel technology to be used in their lineup, for the kinetic recovery of braking energy in collaboration with Volvo powertrain and SKF.
