Discussions Commence about Possible Volvo Supermini Hybrid

In a world every-filling with hybrids and electric vehicles, there's no question that automakers are going to offer more and more fuel-efficient models with better and better technology with each passing model year. And where fuel-efficiency is concerned, size is also an issue; smaller lighter vehicle will, of course, consume energy as a slower rate. So when Volvo announced that discussions of a hybrid supermini were happening, none of us at Freedom Volvo could…

Surprise New R-Design Trims Debut at New York Auto Show

The New York Auto Show ran amok with new Volvo rumors, and the automaker has really delivered; earlier this month, we discussed the upcoming Volvo V60 wagon but that wasn't the only surprise we were graced with.

We were surprised with redesigned exteriors of the Volvo S60 and the XC60 along with the introduction of the V60, but that wasn't the final card hidden up the auto show's figurative sleeve.

There are?

Volvo is finally bringing the V Series back, and we here at Freedom Volvo are very excited. The automaker knows its way around a wagon and, since the V70's departure back in 2010, we've been aching for a new one. Thankfully, Volvo has officially announced that the V60 is coming to U.S. shores and we have all the details available so far. Let's take a look.

Overseas-Exclusive Volvo V40 Might Just be the World Car of the Year

Auto enthusiasts in the greater Virginia Beach are all wondering the same thing: when will the V40 hatchback join the new Volvo lineup on U.S. shores? Unfortunately, Volvo has made no mention of whether or not this will happen in the near future. However, if you ask us here at Freedom Volvo, winning the World Car of the Year would certainly help solidify its chances.

Being one of ten finalists, the Volvo V40 is being considered by a panel of 66 judges to be announced at the 2013 New York International Auto Show. In terms of criteria, the winner…

First Month in 2013 Sees Volvo Sales on the Rise

With 4,875 new vehicles sold this January, Volvo sees a marked 9.3 percent increase over last January's 4,462 sales. All of us here at are thrilled by this news though, as biased as we are, it isn't too surprising.

That's not the only good news about the sales though! Our very own United States market led the new Volvo sales in terms of volume; keep your eye on China…

Volvo Debuting Active High Beam Technology at 2013 Geneva Motor Show

In our humbles of opinions here at Freedom Volvo, the thing about high beams is that they can be as much of a blessing as they are a curse. There's good reason why they come standard on all our new and used cars, because driving at night can be awfully dicey when you can't see what's on the road. Then again, there's few things more infuriating than getting blinded by inconsiderate drivers who forget their brights are on. Alas, they're as necessary as they are imperfect, but lucky for all of us, Volvo's taking…

Volvo V60 Mid-Size Wagon may be coming to US Dealerships in 2014

Take it from us here at Freedom Volvo, folks: mid-size wagons are a beautiful thing. See, a lot of us here have spouses and kids, and we are no strangers to good-old family road trips. Don't get us wrong, there's nothing we cherish more than quality family time, but there's a good reason Clark Griswold went and got himself a mid-size wagon when he took the family to Wally World. With ample storage space, more than enough room so that no one's sitting on top of each other, and a comparable fuel-efficiency to some of the…

Volvo and Cybercom Teaming up for new Infotainment System

Remember the days when a cutting-edge infotainment meant a car that had a tape deck and a CD drive? Man, times have changed, folks. We here at Freedom Volvo can hardly keep up with all the gizmos, apps, and gadgets that keep making their way into our new and used cars, but as far as problems go, that's a pretty good one to have. And with Volvo's recent partnership with Cybercom, we can only imagine what the future has in store.
